
the Ecosocial Forum Europe participates as a partner at the Development Policy Forum (DPF) roundtable „A climate change protection plan for the world’s poor”, organised on 29 May 2009 in Brussels. The roundtable, which will be held in the run-up to the next international climate negotiation round starting on 1 June 2009 in Bonn, will look at the impact of climate change in so-called developing countries and the financial investment needed to address it. DPF is a partnership between
Friends of Europe, the World Bank, the United Nations, France’s Agence Française de Développement (AFD), the UK’s Department for International Development (DFID), the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) with the support of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the Eurosocial Forum Europe, and in association with the European Commission Directorate General for Development and Relations with African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) States. The main activities of the partnership are regular debates and sharply written analysis on development issues.
